Teaching Staff

Kerri Underwood

Mrs. Underwood earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a major in Language Arts and a minor in Geography and her Master of Arts Degree in Reading and Literacy from Central Michigan University. She taught for over fourteen years before joining the Assumption team in 2017.

Kathy Snowden

Mrs. Snowden is a graduate of Western Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a group minor in Creative Arts, Mathematics, and Science. She has been happily leading the Preschool and now the Kindergarten Program since 2012.

Kate Williams

Mrs. Williams earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Grand Valley State University. She started her career at Assumption as a Middle School Paraprofessional and became a first grade teacher in 2015 and a kindergarten teacher in 2024.

Jess Danowski

Miss. Danowski earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Aquinas College. She started her career at Assumption BVM School as a first grade teacher in 2024.

Lily Sartori

Miss Sartori earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in Elementary Education with a focus in Language Arts and a minor in Teaching English to Second Language Students. She taught third grade at Our Lady of the Sorrows in Farmington, MI before joining Assumption as the second grade teacher in 2021.

Carrie Westman

Mrs. Westman earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame and her Master’s Degree in Education from Aquinas College.  She has been teaching at Assumption since 2001.

Amy Snodgrass

Mrs. Snodgrass earned Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Master’s Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University. Her work experience includes teaching grades fifth through eighth in public, private, and charter schools. She was the Intervention Director at Assumption for eight years.

Elizabeth Ritz

Mrs. Ritz graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies and Elementary Education. She enjoys helping the students at ABVM grow both in their faith and educational careers.

Annette Rybicki

Mrs. Rybicki graduated from Northern Michigan University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education with a major in Mathematics. She coaches Assumption’s Math Counts Team, leads the ABVM Math Pentathlon Club, and facilitates the ABVM Volunteer Corps.

Christian Galloway

Mr. Galloway earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (6-12 Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Integrated Science) from Cornerstone University. He is an Our Lady of Consolation and West Catholic High School graduate and enjoys teaching students in the classroom as well as on the soccer field.

Katie Leeder

Mrs. Leeder graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree with focus on Elementary Education and English. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree from Grand Valley State University, taught fifth grade at ABVM for 12 years, and has been teaching eighth grade homeroom, reading, writing, and grammar since 2017.
